In the latest disrespectful step in the unnecessary attempts to establish what we already know- that the last two Romanov children found in 2007 in the Topkapi Forest outside Ekaterinburg are in fact teh remains of Alexei and Marie- not only have their parents, Nicholas and Alexandra been exhumed and their great grandfather Alexander III - but now their grandfather, Alexander II. Many feel as I do that these children suffered enough in life and had such horrific ends , that this grisly investigation is not needed and is very upsetting. So many in the family were murdered- not only Nicholas, Alexandra and all five children, but Alexander II was blown apart by an assassin's bomb, and had a terrible death also- his limbs ripped off and disemboweled. His son, Alexander II, whose body is next on the examining table, died at 49, of natural but freakish causes: kidney failure. A great strong bear of a man, towering 6'4" and massively built, Alexander II had defied the elements to sleep with his bedroom windows open, eve during the most bitter Russian nights. Already ill, he also insisted on riding his horse to review his mounted guards. It is not surprising, ill effects followed and he died so young. His death was more than usually tragic- he left his adoring wife, Maria Feodorvna and Nicholas II, who at 26, was forced to become Tsar- a position which terrified him. All his life, Nicholas II expected tragedy- and his fears were fulfilled. Born on the Day of Job, he suffered many trials and died shortly after his 50th birthday. All that could have been balm in Gilead was the possibility of "Rest in Peace." Now, even that is denied for these ghoulish inquests.
